A storyline, that most people can relate to ! Good Read...
I really enjoyed this novel. It is a quick read especially since I completed loved the characters ! I definitely recommend picking up this one, it will be hard to put it down.
The storyline is good and has content that most of the people would relate to however the writing is more like a movie script than a novel. A lot of the conversations were in dialogue form, which i personally, really liked !
Shom's character is dealt with deeply. The book makes for an entertaining read and I recommend all to read it.
I cannot wait to see what Tapan Ghosh has in store for his next novel - I'm an instant fan !

One Love Two Births
I am an avid "Fiction Fanatic" and read this book a month ago, but felt like keeping my POV to myself. I am just fond of reading reviews rather than writing them.
This book has drawn a lot of interest and hats off to Tapan for the great story telling. It definitely is on my recommended list.
There is a little bit of past life, 26/11 backdrop, two friends, one Raima who will remain etched in my memory. Raima's character comes to life and surely makes a mark on every male reader, who's desire would be to have a Raima in his life.
Great celluloid material and awesome stuff from a debutant.

Gripping story of a segment of society you may not be familiar with...
Faceless is a look into the lifes of two people who are soulmates! The story is a heartbreaking but unique tale that will stick with you. Gripping story of a segment of society you may not be familiar with...
Faceless makes you care about the characters even when you don't necessarily like them...you may actually choose to disagree with Shom's choices...
It is a Quick and engaging read.
I could not put the book down...and finished it at one go ! The story is well-written and the characters are believable.
It is definately a good book !

LAND YACHT
The Land Yacht. Never heard this term before but its so apt.
A Vanity Van, the way it moves, especially on the Indian roads will give the feel of a Yacht. So true.
The first time Shom and Raima made love was in the Land Yacht, after they shared a joint or two. The sensual love is described so well, its so natural and so well written that I could visualize it.
Raima a reformed escort is so well portrayed that she would be admired by every full-blooded man. Her inner beauty in particular just lingers in your mind.
Keep it up Tapan.

Lot of Substance...
I read your book Tapan, it has a lot of substance. I in fact had to read some chapters twice. On the surface It's a fast read but also very involving at places. I have a question to ask that I hope you reply.
Is this the only way out, do you really mean it. I don't think so....

Salman Rushdie & Shemales
What has Rushdie to do with the Shemales. What is the Author trying to say in that Chapter and the one before that. Does he believe that Salman had an affair with Anisha and that he prefers to be in their company. It's very interesting to know this. The fact that Salman is seen in the company of taller and stronger looking women and so were both his ex-wifes. He has apparently written about the Shemales in Bombay. We would like to have a confirmation on this.
Would Tapan also know why Salman did not make it to Jaipur ?

Quick reading while waiting for your flight
The book about soul mates and spiritual love starts well...promising beginning till the author plays to the gallery by going overboard with explicit sexual descriptions. Are they really necessary? I skip read those three four chapters. Apart for that it is a good read, description of South Mumbai life interesting

Different take of the society
This might not be one of the best books in the category but it surely talks about love and passion in a manner I haven't read before.
Faceless is a story about the things that keep happening all around us. I enjoyed the author's detailing and the background characterization done though sometimes this made it draggy (somewhere in the middle). Overall, the book is a breezy read. It might not win literary awards but will surely win people's respect

Hi Tapan, where do you get your ideas from?
The characters sound real. |
|
Thanks for reading my work.
My ideas come from life and reality
The characters are all around you, you have to apply your logic in identifying them. (engineering logic) |

Dear Tapanji,
We read your book as a piece of fiction and then read it again
and realised you had a message to convey through your story and
characters.
Do we read you right?
What's the message? |
Aha!!! Cheers, I suppose what you say is true for every author, everyone writes with the same intent.
This is about the dilemma everyman has to go through and dream that every woman has.
Faceless is “the only way out” is the message of the book

Hello Tapan,
We thought your book was terrific when do we see it on celluloid? |
Thank you I am flattered.
I am very keen to make that happen, currently the script writing is in process although the book is visual writing itself. We are conceptualising the rest of the project.

Mr Tapan,
What are your influences in writing this book?
Keep writing. |
What has influenced me to write this book is to right logically.
As an engineer you have to apply logic to everything you do so is life it’s very logical.
I hope that answers the thought process :)

Hi! You have written about Sobo.
When do we see your book set in Bandra and beyond? Thanks!!!!
My book is not set in Sobo only, it’s about life, the characters happen to be in Mumbai.

Ghoshji, Your writing is a journey of love, ambition and faith. I believe we have all the opportunity to make this world a more beautiful place by embracing the mysteries and the power of our heart.
What is Raima's journey?
Raima is the most stable character in my book, she has her dreams as she has a high IQ and EQ.
She has been a victim of circumstances from day one.
She is today's woman

Tapan your book is sensational.
The symbolism is even in the title.
Do I understand this correctly?
Yes it’s the only way out

Dear Mr Ghosh you will soon be a master within the genre.
Have you written more? that we do not know about.
Thanks for your good wishes, yes a lot but mainly for private circulation and highly technical in nature i.e. engineering
